PACKING (PG) GLANDS
Conax Buffalo tube or probe sealing glands, for gas or liquid, are
excellent for applications such as thermocouples, RTD's or thermistor
probes, dial-type thermometers, etc. Easily assembled by simply
inserting element and torquing cap. Resealable sealant allows repeated
use of stainless steel fitting.
|
|
MIDLOCK (MK) GLANDS
These innovative tube or probe sealing glands feature a stainless steel
ferrule assembly which may be opened and resealed. Ferrule is deformed
against tube and makes a seal without cutting sheath surface. Easy to
use by sliding assembled fitting over tube or probe and simply torquing
at desired location. Applications include thermocouple probes, laboratory
test lines, etc.
|
|
TRANSDUCER (TG) GLANDS
For bare wire sealing against gas or liquid, our TG Glands can be used for
various solid bare wire transducers such as thermocouples, strain gauges,
thermistors and resistance element leads. May also be used to seal bare
solid conductors entering a pressure vessel supplying high current at
low voltage to equipment within the vessel.
|
|
POWER LEAD (PL) GLANDS
Our insulated power lead sealing glands, for gas or liquid, provide
versatility in applications such as autoclave, transformer, motor power,
and sterilizer feedthroughs. Kapton® insulated wires with
identification are easily assembled, positioned or replaced in field.
Easy installation-requires no potting.
|
|
MULTI-HOLE CERAMIC (MHC) GLANDS
Conax Buffalo multiple tube or probe sealing glands provide the solution
for applications such as multiple thermocouple, RTDs or thermistor
probes, tube bundles, liquid level sensors, etc. Each immersion length
is readily and independently adjustable. Selected elements can be
individually and economically replaced.
|
|
MULTI-HOLE METAL (MHM) GLANDS
Conax Buffalo MHM multiple tube or probe sealing glands can be customized
to accommodate special hole patterns, irregular shapes and higher density
requirements for gradient thermocouples, RTDs or thermistor probes, tube
bundles, liquid level sensors or other devices.
|
|
ELECTRODE (EG) GLANDS
Our electrode sealing glands, for gas or non-conductive liquid, are used
in applications such as bare electrical feedthrough for vacuum furnaces,
liquid level probes, transformers, reactors, environmental chamber power
conductors, etc. Conductor is easily terminated in the field.
|
|
ELECTRODE GLAND TEFLON (EGT) GLANDS
These electrode sealing glands, for gas or non-conductive liquid, feature
an electrode encompassed by a continuous Teflon® insulator/sealant.
Applications include bare electrical feedthrough for vacuum furnaces,
liquid level probes, transformers, reactors, environmental chamber power
conductors, etc.
|
|
SPLIT PACKING (SPG) GLANDS
Conax Buffalo split glands for single or multiple probes are used wherever
the probe cannot be installed through the sealant, either because of
length or stepped outside diameter. When probe maintenance is required,
sealants are easily replaced.

CUSTOM ASSEMBLIES
|
VARIABLE DIVERSE MOUNTING
All Conax Buffalo sealing glands can be customized for 0-ring, tube flare
or flange mount. This mounting diversity enables our engineers to easily
adapt proven sealing techniques to your process equipment requirements
for pressure or vacuum applications.
|
|
WELD NECK MOUNT
All sealing gland styles are available in direct weld mounting designs.
Weld mounting is often desirable for high vacuum applications or when
thread-free configurations are required. The weld neck designs shown can
be longer or shorter, and the diameter and material can be changed to
meet your specific application requirements.
|
|
QUICK MOUNT COUPLER
QM Couplers provide a quick and positive method of removing and resealing
multiple wires and probes. They also eliminate the twisting or entangling
of long leadwires caused by rotation while screwing a fitting into place.
Depending on the quick mount coupler and sealing gland you select,
assemblies can be installed in pressure applications up to 6,000 psi.
|
|
HIGH PRESSURE SERIES
Our in-depth sealing knowledge and Conax Buffalo engineered designs make
high pressure wire and probe sealing possible up to 30,000 psi. Assembly
material selection is critical to sealing performance, and Conax Buffalo
engineers have the experience to meet the exact requirements of your
application.

ELECTRODE SEALING
(Top) This standard EG750 sealing gland is designed for installing large
power leads into vacuum chambers and autoclaves. The sealing gland is
vacuum/pressure rated from 5 x 10
-6
TORR to 1500 psi.
(Middle) Conax Buffalo custom-designed this one inch diameter electrode
sealing gland capable of carrying 4KV AC at 480°F in high vacuum.
(Lower) Our standard EG250 electrode sealing gland, shown with "B" Cap is
rated for 2,000 VDC, 95 amperes at 68°F with the supplied copper
electrode.
|
|
MS THREAD TYPE
Our MS Thread Type sealing glands offer an alternate mounting thread form
for applications where pipe threads may not be desirable. The Conax
Buffalo soft sealant/0-ring designs form a highly reliable barrier to
the environment being contained. Sealing gland materials and thread
sizes are selected to meet the application criteria.
